Re: Anyone considering returning?

If the HSPL doesn't get done. I'm taking mine back. If verizon gets more TP2's inWent into the store last week and they said they were getting 1200 in on Fri. Called on Friday and they didn't have em in the store but said they were in the warehouse. Said CS would trade it for me. Called CS and they said they didn't have any in any of the 4 warehouses or in ANY stores. Love the 5MP camera, but this phone is buggy that I can barely stand it. I'm so used to the speed and reliability of the NRG ROM on my TP that I got spoiled.

Re: Anyone considering returning?

I love mine.... as others have posted... I have no problems at all and it beats the daylights out of my Touch Pro. The only thing I miss is the CTRL key on the keyboard.

Re: Anyone considering returning?

I'm leaning toward returning mine. My Titan was faster (with cooked ROMs) and was easier to use (thumb wheel and hard keys). I know that the speed and memory will be addressed. One of the primary reasons that I will likely send it back is that there is no TV out. I bought this phone specifically because I was told that it would do EVERYTHING that the TP2 would do, just without the slide out keyboard. I was lied to. If you look at the spec sheet, the Imagio looks like a TP2 in an iPhone's case with more features. Sadly, it just ain't so.

The Imagio, TP2, and a few other HTC devices all use the same battery. You should be able to puy Seidio's extended life factory sized battery and use it in the Imagio.

Re: Anyone considering returning?

Last night I decided to get the tmobile tp2 and went to return the imagion to verizon which they are like 4 building away of each other. I got to verizon and they were closed early for sme reason. So I went straight to tmobile and bought the tp2.

I got home ans played with the tp2 and after a few hours I hated it! Compared to the imagion its BULKY and UGLY. The tmobile version is not good looking at all to ME. My att tilt was way better looking but it was thicker than the tmobile tp2.

Anyway I just got back from tmobile and got a refund! I am so glad verizon was closed! Btw, the reason I was going to return the imagio was because I cannot ghet use to the onscreen keyboard. I downloaded TOUCHPAL keyboard and its working out much much better. But Im still in search for a good keyboard?

Anyways, I did install the tp2 battery on my imagio and it works and fits perfectly.

Re: Anyone considering returning?

So far, NOPE, not returning it..

Terrific on the Battery Power..

have had some glips with the built-in Opera Browser and the slow screen update on the IE browser, but Those will be fixed in future updates..

ISo far I am really impressed with the "Automatic" WiFi. It automatically disconnects and connects wifi's depending on where I am located. So far the only time I need the Data Download is when I am not at home or work and using GPS or BING apps.

I do like the Bing Speech to look up businesses or addresses, it usually gets it on the first time.. do no like the finger-unfriendly interface, but fingernail works ok with it.. just tough to do when driving ;-P I have both google maps and Bing maps and they both do not automatically goes to my location when I start them up, which is an extreme pain as I have to physically tell it to go to my location so I can search for things around me. grrr.. but that is not the phone's fault but the software programmers fault..

Re: Anyone considering returning?

Thanks for all of the comments guys. And thanks drellisdee - that's what I was looking for. Like I said, I wasn't trying to be impatient, I'm just short on time w/ my 30 day trial, and had only seen comments saying it likely WASN'T coming, or at the very least would be a long time before we saw anything. So I guess I was getting a little antsy. Glad to hear you're already working on kitchens.

I think I will keep it, and get an extended life battery. I had one on my vx6900, and with an NFSFAN rom, I could literally go for 2-3 days without charging, so I guess I was spoiled.

I'll definitely shoot cmonex a contribution. Anything to feed my flashing addiction - must have done it 100 times on the vx6900. Can't wait...

Thanks again for the feedback guys!

Re: Anyone considering returning?

I love mine, would not trade it for anything short of a cdma Leo. But I am still dying for HardSPL.

I really hate what is going on in the TP2 forum right now, and I hope it does not happen here. I think alot of people are being ridiculously impatient, but I also think the elite team should be a little bit more open about whats going on, what the hold up is, and when they really think the release date may be. Don't get me wrong, I love what they are doing, and realize they have lives, and are doing it on their own time, but would a status update here and there really be too much to ask?

Anyways, lets keep our fingers and toes crossed that its here soon, and until then, get our ROMS and Kitchens ready.
