Re: Is The Imagio Worth The Slow Browser Experience?
Ok, got it working. I checked the Opera mini 5 thread in here and there is a cab file to install mini 5. I downloaded it, moved it to my Imagio and did the install. Now, my Opera Mini application link goes to mini 5. I then added it to my short screen list of application icons that I use most and it now brings up mini 5.
I went into mini settings and changed the font size from small to medium, brower to "mobile" and its working great. I've only tried a few sites on it so far but they are loading fast, are readable and the interface is much more intuitive and easy to navigate than 4.2. The link is here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=91367 Just download the Miniv9.cab from that thread, move it to your phone, install it and it lays down mini 5 on your Imagio, creates a link (in my case my old Opera Mini link now goes to 5 rather than 4.2). Hope it works as well for you as it seems to be for me. R |

Re: Is The Imagio Worth The Slow Browser Experience?
Loaded Opera 9.7 beta and its pretty nice. I've tweaked some of the settings and it too is easier and more intuitive than 9.5. I'm going to keep it, that way I have both 9.7 and mini 5 depending what I need to do and how fast I want to get it done.
And speaking of getting things done I haven't done squat at my desk this afternoon except play with this damn phone! Time to sign off for a while and get a few things accomplished. R |

Re: Is The Imagio Worth The Slow Browser Experience?
I am able to. Does yours just not respond to turning the screen? Is the page still drawing when you do it or is it after it's fully downloaded? Not sure that matters, just curious.

Re: Is The Imagio Worth The Slow Browser Experience?
No, mine didn't respond to turning the screen. I'm pretty sure that
the page was fully loaded also. I didn't keep it anyway since the page rendering looked a little strange anyway. |

No, you're not the only one. I don't know why --whether Racedog's version is running slower than mine or whether my standards are just lower-- but both my Opera and IE seem to me to be running quite well.
