Camera not sensing memory card correctly

The camera when it loads up teels me that I can only take 4 pictures, but I have a 16GB microsd card inserted and if I look in Settings->All Setting->System->Memory, it tells me under memory card that I have over 8GB free. Can anyone tell me why I would be having that issue. The camcorder is also doing the same thing.

I am using a brand new Ridata 16GB MicroSD card.

Go into the Camera, tap the screen and click Show Nav, Settings, Advanced, and go to page 2/5. Beside the Storage option, click on Main Memory. This will change it to storage card and will allow you to save your pictures and videos to the storage card.

Mine must have automatically detected the card because i didnt have to set that option. the first time i started the camera a number of 7000+ appeared in the corner and i have a DCIM folder on my storage card. Thats good information to know KilgoreBA Thanks!

I did that already and I am having the problem I am having. When I switch it to main memory it says that I can take more pictures and save it to the main memory than to the 16GB memory card. Very strange....

That is very strange indeed. You may want to try a hard reset. Keep in mind that a hard reset will erase EVERYTHING on your phone and make it new again like when you first took it out of the box. Be sure to backup if you try doing this.

I figured out the problem. I uninstalled the cab for the SD tuneup and everything was as it should be.
