Re: How to unlock GPS on Verizon HTC Imagio
You should be able to get to it from the Settings Tab > Location Service > Location Service Settings On and also check the HTC location service.

Re: How to unlock GPS on Verizon HTC Imagio
You are correct, there is somewhere that has a choice of the 911 service only or the other choice that enables GPS in all. I poked around on my Imagio just now and I swear, I can not find it! I think Humpa sent me to a post that showed where exactly it was, but the fact remains that I remember this exact problem and the solution was finding that screen where the 911 service is selected and change it to all services. I'll keep poking around and I'll look over at HowardForums to see if I can find it again.

Re: How to unlock GPS on Verizon HTC Imagio
Got it! I knew if I looked enough I would find it in this phone!
Go to settings. I slid the blue slider to the right to the gear looking icon to get here. Click the icon of the folder that says CONNECTIONS. Click the center icon called COMM MANAGER. Click the second bar down called PHONE (CHANGE PHONE SETTINGS). Click the third tab to the right called CDMA SERVICES. In the list that appears, click the top one called LOCATION SETTING. Click the button on the bottom that says GET SETTINGS... Select the top choice called LOCATION ON. Click OK Click OK Click the X to close. Click OK. Click the X again. And your back out with your changes saved. Go GPS'ing! |

Re: How to unlock GPS on Verizon HTC Imagio
I now have my gps working but had to activate vz navigator to unlock the gps...as soon as I did that all third party apps worked like a charm....location is right on and quick...don't know why most phone's gps worked right out of the box, I tried all the tips including running quick gps, changed com ports....but the vz nav did the trick
