Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

I installed the 2 .cabs located in this thread, and my Imagio now sits between 48-55%

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

I just installed the dynamic resources .cab and gained 25-30 mb ram.
I may or may not try the push internet .cab after I get a feel for how it runs with these new settings. overall very impressed though.

I did a hard reset earlier today just to start fresh and my phone has been running pretty smooth and stable since. now that i have a decent memory reserve I am starting to feel better about the whitestone. I really wish they would have just stuck with wm6.1 as these builds of 6.5 are pretty bad.

This helped a whole lot. Sitting around 52-54% constantly. Thanks!

On another note is the internet push cab actually disabling it?

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

The proxy cab appears to free up a lot of RAM. I am still looking for a technical explanation of what it does. Anyone seen it?

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

The memory leaking is more like memory bleeding. Any ideas?

Seems the guys at xda have already ported Android for the Blackstone, The devices are very similar so maybe we can piggy back their progress.

Actually, IMO you are blaming the wrong thing. There seems to be a memory leak in Manila. Run SPB or Titanium and you will have a different experience.

Yes, even HTC can churn out some crappy programming.

To run Titanium (the Microsoft's home screen for Windows Mobile 6.5) you can go to Settings > All Settings > Today. On the 2nd tab uncheck TouchFlo and check Windows Default.

To see what SPB Mobile Shell is - go here:

http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pock...e/mobileshell/

If you get SPB (it is a free trial) you should turn off both Titanium and TouchFlo.

My main point here is that it is a piece of HTC software (Manila) that seems to be leaking memory on Imagio.

I agree. I'm running Titanium with the Bliss theme and memory usage is down to ~40%, topping out at ~50%.
