Performance issues with Imagio.

Is anyone else having some slow down with theirs? Just on start up I have 70% resources being used. Any tweeks out there that may help? If I can get this thing to speed up it will be a great device.

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

I found mine will actually give me a memory error when using opera. I have installed a couple of hacks that I had from my TP2, but those didn't help at all. It is almost like there is a severe memory leak in winmo 6.5. With all the stuff I had on my TP2 it sat at about 45-48% idle. My imagio sits anywhere between 55-78% idle.

I've been trying a few things and I guess I'm having a little luck ..I just installed CleanRam and now I'm down to 59-60% --but it seems like it just creeps up all day long even if I'm not running any programs. Here is CleanRam if anyone else wants to try it.

I think this should be all of our top priorities ~ this phone has a world of potential

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

There is definitely some program(s) hogging memory, but nothing seems to stand out yet. This has been the only thing annoying after switching from the TP2, at least that after disabling push internet was at a much more reasonable about of RAM.

I kind makes you think both of these devices were just made as stop gaps until the new hardware emerges...

Hi guys, not sure if this will help, but it should: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...30&postcount=4 go to question 18. You should move the opera cache to the storage card and you should not get this error again. Obviously on the Diamond the instructions say to change it to internal storage but I think you can just use /storage card/ instead. Hope this works.

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

6.5 hogs a lot of memory. I run RAM Sweeper to reclaim the memory. works great. Takes about 10 -15 seconds.
just key in ram sweeper on google and will take you to the .cab. You will need to install .NET CF 3.5 also.
Sure beats doing soft resets to get the memory back.

Re: Performance issues with Imagio.

I installed opera 9.7b and the internet surfing was sped up immediately. Unfortunately it will not respond to the g-sensor but I can actually view web pages now.
