I know it is suppose to be a inch larger but it looks smaller to me. This is a downer for me because I am blind in one eye and the screen size has became a nice feature, the screen is clear but a little weird to focus on for me.
Well, i have been a ZuneHD owner for probably about 8 months now, and I really do like the interface, the navigation, etc. I would love to see it on a larger screen. So that alone has me intrigued by the Windows Phone 7 deal. Otherwise, I know VZW will have the iPhone by years end, but at the same time, my only real other compelling option is Android....

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

I have always been a Windows Mobile guy.....my Imagio is my 5th WinMo device, and before windows was on phones, I had 3 pocket PCs. BUT, what I've heard of WinMo 7 has me really dissapointed. When did Steve Jobs go to work for Microsoft, and be put in charge of WinMo development?? The rumors at the launch were a locked down interface with limited or even no customization allowed. Apps limited to those purchased from an apps store, and hardware limited to approved devices strictly controlled by MS So, in other words, just another pretty limited, locked down device like the iPhone If this is really the case, then the only thing that is keeping me from switching to Android is the lack of exchange support. I need to have full exchange integration because I use all of the features of exchange for work (e-mail, calandar, notes, tasks, contacts, etc.). But, I'm sure that full exchange support is inevitable on Android (and it sounds like it may be closer than anyone has been able to tell me from the posts above). So, to Android users.....is it possible to fully sync exchange yet?

I wish the EVO was coming to Verizon....unfortunately I'm in a contract with verizon through work too.....

full exchange support for calendar, email, contacts for Android, that much I am certain of. Tasks, I am not 100% certain on, but I think it does support it.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

With the incredible exchange works beautifully. And just to throw in for anyone considering switching, keep you extra imagio batteries as they work in the incredible and give about 2 extra hours of battery life.

EXCELLENT....good to know

I'm gonna play with my Imagio for awhile....I got started using Energy ROM, and its lots of fun to customize. But I'll probably end up going the way of Android, especially if MS gets stupid they way it looks

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

Well -I want to try out Android. But not sure if I want to fork out $200 for the upgrade plus $60 dollars in tax just to "try out" Android.

Having said that -Wirefly and Amazon have the Motorola Droid for $20 right now. I know it would not be the same experience (no 1ghz processor and probably not the same sync capabilities sense it is not HTC) but for $20?! Who can pass that up.

Here's another thing about the HTC Incredible I would like to know. You have to run Sense? I don't really like Sense. You can't run pure Android? You have to run that Sensedroid?

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

As soon as it is rooted this month you will be able to run whatever you desire.

There are several android themes on Market Place that you can run now.
An actual android hompage. You can change the home page to non - sense now and just have icons on it. You can have around 7 homepages to select from. It goes on and on.
Several of the android rom developers will have 100% android (no sense) roms out soon. The phone hasn't been out a week yet , android 2.2 , and the best are yet to come.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

My coworker has the Incredible and I have to say I was initially underwhelmed but I have to say I have app envy. I see why people like th iPhone: apps. Without apps WinMo shows its age more than any other way. Please don't mention the Marketplace, lol. Then of course there is the hardware improvements, but that is just a matter of which phone is new. I just think that platform has more to offer as even though it is missing options found in WinMo, the fix is an app away. Being a Wino guy for a long time I'll hold out hope but come end of year WP7 better be incredible or that's what I'll be using.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

I love my Incredible. Days of lag and soft resets are over. Everything just works!!!!! I just hate I waited so long to switch. Been with WM since 06 but those days are gone for now. And man there is a app for everything!
