Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

I read last night over at the android forum that Wideawake ( CEO of ppcgeeks.com ) retired his TP2 and is using the Incredible now.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

I went to a verizon store on the day that the Incredible released. I played around with it for 1/2 hour after I asked the store salesmen to make sure they have one in stock. The thing is fast and smooth; I asked a few questions, then decided to walk away without getting the Incredible. I think at the moment, if you are using your phone for work related stuff(exchange push, task, appointment, Office) then WM6.5 still the best out there. Maybe in 6 months, things will improve a little more for Android, but I must admit, that I'm a hardcore WM (my first WM device was the Jornada 548 if anyone know remember what it was)

btw, I forgot to add that I'll take a 2nd look at this Droid after it's rooted.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

I have stuck with WinMo for 10 years because it was critical to be able to sync with Outlook. I looked at the Incredible last week and asked at least 12 different people at various stores (by phone) and called VZW to find an answer. I kept getting different answers from everyone I talked to. I finally got a VZW engineer on the phone and he said that it definitely would sync.

I ended up buying one. Syncing is not difficult but setting up the sync is different from MS and WinMo. It does work and I really love the new phone, the speed, ease of use etc.

You shouldn't have gone thru all that trouble, just look at the PDF manual and you've been all set. lol. I found out about activeSync after I've read the manual too. HTC's royalty to MS does pay off.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down.

I gotta say, ive spent a lot of time working on my imagio, customizing it the way I want, but in the end wheter its a stock rom or the custom rom the phones not that stable. It freezes up often, it drops internet connection, and just doesn't have the hardware to match the incredible. Though im nervous about making the move to android...I ordered an incredible. I look foward to the hardware and software this phone has to offer, i'll get my hands on documents to go and that will be that.

Do you really like the Windows 7 design? I just cant get into how the home page is designed (Seems to busy and will probably be a resource hog). Also I was just at a Verizon store and I really gave the Incredible (Considered giving Android a try) a real look over and the device does move pretty smooth but the one thing that I was confused with was side by side that the screen actually looks smaller than the Imagio.. I know it is suppose to be a inch larger but it looks smaller to me. This is a downer for me because I am blind in one eye and the screen size has became a nice feature, the screen is clear but a little weird to focus on for me.
