Re: Incredible - incredible let down.
yeah -how about some feed back on on the "professional" side of this android device. I know that it can make fart sounds. But not every one is into that. What can you do as far as Word documents? And what always gets me is calendar appointments. Can you create an appointment for instance on "the third Wednesday of every 1 month"?
And I know that honestly for some people that is the least of their concerns -but I am kind of type A about certain things. So what does Android offer as far as interacting/interfacing with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Outlook? Also -I am not trying to bash. "My Imagio does this and your Android doesn't." I could give a crap whether it is WinMo, Android, Palm OS, Symbian, iPhone-ian -I don't care as long as the phone does what I want it to do. So could some of you guys that have crossed over share your experience with Sync and interaction? |

Re: Incredible & AOL Mail
Additionally I have seen mixed success using AOL Mail just googling it. Is anyone using AOL mail? I know this isn't an Incredible forum but I respect opinions here. Keeping my customized Imagio but may get my wife an Incredible.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down? Help us decide.
I have had my Incredible for over a week now. I preface this to say I loved my Imagio. With that being said there is no comparison when talking about these two phones. The Incredible blows the Imagio out of the water in every aspect. Apps, email, business tools, multimedia, camera, customization (Yes I said customization), speed, memory Etc. I can go on and on. I was and I still am a huge supporter of windows mobile but HTC and Android have out done themselves with this phone. The Incredible is a BMW where the Imagio is a Ford.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down? Help us decide.
I have an Imagio which I like. I'm on the geekier side and have upgrade to the Energy ROM (very nice BTW). Anyways, my wife has the Droid 1. The one thing that I saw with the droid was that it's compatibility with Outlook was clumsy. I think that's the biggest thing for me in keeping my Imagio - it works very well with Outlook. I don't know about the Incredible, but if sync'd with Outlook like Winmo then I'd be tempted.

Re: Incredible - incredible let down? Help us decide.
Flawless Outlook syncing would be a must for me also. That and a real kb, which is what finally did me in and caused me to sell my imagio. How do you people deal with all the finger smudges? Constant wiping,This absolutely drives me nuts. Guess I won't hold my breath for an android bar phone with a real kb. It would seem "real" kb people are a "real" minority.

Then there's that virtual kb issue. A few of us out here prefer real kb feedback. But, if that outlook sync thing is good then thats one out of three. I realize I'm quite the minority here, but hey, just thought i'd be nice n' sweet for some diff form factors. |
