my bad. misunderstood you. Simply use slumpys suggestion from post 5. 3rd kine down. the tapres.dll. copy to your windows directory and reset. should work

Are your text received icons in the task bar normal or are they old school white icons?

most ppl make whole taskbars not just one icon so your gona have dificulty trying to find what your looking for

Thanks Max, actually i have what i need, i prefer the look of the Tsown taskbars but they dont inclulde the appropriate dll's to have a custom text icon. 6.5.x is a little diff than our stock imagio was. Took a few days to figure it is the MessageRes.dll not the outres.dll that carries the approp. icon, so i was getting a plain white text icon.

If anyone has this problem too, i have made a cab to change the messageres.dll so the appropiate icon shows up. unfortunately you cant just overwrite that particular dll.

I have used these cabs on both the Drellisdee Whitestone and the Energy Series roms and I get the 3G icon and color taskbar icons

I do them in order but do not reset until all 3 are loaded.

Thanks, I kinda liked the Blue/Black Tacchan Taskbar, but it didn't work for the Ev/1x icon or the audio icon. Otherwise is was neat. Obviously the Imagio dlls are somewhat different than the average CDMA phones as there always seems to be at least 1 icon that doesn't work without outside intervention. =)

ive been using twnson taskbars for 3 months. The simple tapres.dll tweak has worked fine..... with jmarts cabs, and the energy roms. Are you running sense or titanium?
