I don't quite follow what you are referring to. Do you mean that if we install any cooked ROMs (when they are finally made available) then we will not be able to use the Global Mode function of our phones (i.e. use both CDMA and GSM)? Because that is the very reason I bought this phone in the first place, so when I traveled abroad I could still make/receive phone calls, get my email, and use a data connection.

It's in your instruction manual , before you go abroad just call Verizon and tell them you are going abroad and they will unlock your sim card so you can use your phone abroad. Simple.
