Sense 2.1/2.5 [Updated 24-Nov-10]

Well 2011 is an improvement and is fine if you use your phone primarily for play. But I just got done reverting to stock as 2.5 is just not snappy enough and I change batteries out constantly so the boot time is killing. I'll see you 2.5 guys when Cmonex finishes hspl. By the way the sms fix cab did nothing for me.

Hey jester, if I want to install 2.1 for weather animations do I have to do the registry edits?

Garmin does work on pinky's 2.5 either pulls an error ..Thats kills it for me I have to have garmin working. Oh well guess I'll just have to wait for the hardspl

hey storm, i'm still a bit new to all this, but it's just really interesting to me...i installed 2.1, and the weather animations were already up and running on mine...only thing i didnt' like was the update option for weather...after 7 hours, i tried updating weather, and it didn't up date the conditions, so i'm not really sure what i did wrong with that...but yeah, as far as animations, they were working fine on mine...hope that helps

just follow the steps in post one for 2.1, and everything should be fine...i think it's just somethin i must be doin wrong...

The last time I tried 2.1 the weather animations stopped working after an hour or so. I think after using all these sense .cabs , is that if you add a app to the phone it can cause some of the sense functions not to work right.

these were the steps I did.

Install Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2 cab
Install MMS Fix (M2.1) (Verizon) cab
Install Disable Sent Notification cab

I tried 2.5 and the SMS fix suggested

Install Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2 cab
Install MMS Fix (M2.1) (Verizon) cab
Install Disable Sent Notification cab

When I go into a Contact it restarts Sense...don't even get into a contact to access the text tab

I am using 2.5 /2011 and did the same as you did and I have no problem getting to the contacts.

I'm not having the issue with the contacts either. What cabs have you installed?

Well I have been running 2011 for a day now and I am not having any problems since I got the sms and cleanRAM 1.93 problems fixed last night !
The only resets I've done were when I installed some .cabs. So far 2011 is running great, it will satisfy me until we get the unlocker , thanks guys !
