Re: Manila Sense 2.1 / 2.5 *Updated Feb 3, 2010*
Just wanted to give some more feedback here, as I have been running with this setup for the past 48 hours.
ROM flashed to 3.04, nice improvement in speed there. Full 2.5 install, as per the initial post in this thread - Installed the Disable HTC SMS - installed the disable SMS notification cab - installed the MMS fix I can now receive and send SMS, MMS through HTC Sense. Overall, the install is very nice, though for some reason, a side effect of one of the cabs I installed, when I am on the main screen of Sense 2.5, and I scroll, I only have placeholders for 9 application links. For some reason, I thought I had more previously. One problem I did come across, is that after about 36 hours without a reboot, running around 75-80% RAM, my Favorite Contacts photos were messed up on my CONTACTS tab. a soft reset resolved this, but the cause is unexplained. Also, Everything runs well, unfortunately, does not really account for the ever-present memory leak in WM. Outstanding items - AGPS within Sense (Weather, Twitter location, etc) - SMS notification of unread messages VERY slow to clear - at times, Sense UI is laggy, especially within Contacts will update with more as I come across it, Otherwise, I love this. |

There are only nine app links on the home screen. I believe there is a cab that has 16 links on it somewhere in this thread.

Re: Manila Sense 2.1 / 2.5 *Updated Feb 3, 2010*
I took two excursions into Sense 2.5 with the 3.04 ROM and I'm sorry to say that after fooling around with it for a few days, I've reverted back to 2.0.
I don't have anything new to report with respect to bugs and such - I've seen the same things many of you all have reported - with maybe a few more nusiances. Things like after replying to a text using the HTC interface, my text entry box gets all jumbled looking and I can't enter text into it. I didn't like how if I return to the home screen after being on another tab even for a minute, my clock time seems to have digressed and flips like mad to catch up. Bottom line for me is after getting a taste of 2.5 I want it real bad. After being able to play with it the whole look and function is really a step up from 2.0 - I just can't get the interface to respond the way I want it to . . . it almost feels like I just don't have the confidence it's not going to bomb out on me at the worst possible time. So I'm going to shower this thread with thanks and and stay put with 2.0 for a little while longer. |

i believe this is on purpose to show the clock animation. pretty sure someone figured out how to stop it long ago but i have no idea where to find the fix. if i find it i will post it here.

Thanks to you guys saying there was a CAB for this...I wouldn't have found it unless you all mentioned it. Here it is:

Re: Manila Sense 2.1 / 2.5 *Updated Feb 3, 2010*
Can someone clear something up for me. When you are talking about Manila Sense is that the same as TF3D/Touch Flo? I currently running what ever came standard on the imagio. Which when I look on the "about tab" it says 2.0.38937.1. Can I upgrade to either 2.1 or 2.5? Also, instead of having all the cabs and steps, can someone put it all into one cab?
