Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!

to be honest i have not read all the way through the XDA thread its over 110 pages and in the first 10 or so i didnt even see the whitestone mentioned. I removed the hard return and disabled auto backlight and still nothing. one thing i have not confirmation on is at what point it is supposed to stop showing progress and working in the background.

Are we 100% that there is not more than one version of the whitestone? maybe just some minor differences in hardware?

I also cannot get this loaded. I have reformatted my card and everything.

It continuously gets stuck on a line of code that reads:

"Failed to mount the SD card. Cannot continue.
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off"

Anybody else getting stuck with this line?

Well it has continued loading, but it has been going for about 30 min! It is loading about 10 lines of commands at a time. But it seems like it would've loaded already.

Check your STARTUP.txt there is a hard return at the end of it. Place your cursor on the bottom of the document and press backspace till you get to the end of boot. Sounds like that might fix yours

Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!

Yeah I saw that in an earlier post, so i tried it, but it still didn't work. I thought maybe it was a sd card problem, which is why i wiped it clean and formatted it, but i still get that same "failed to mount" command.

Man this is frustrating!
