Thank wish I found this a while back, I posted and searched on number of forums without any luck of finding a solution to the connection issue without luck, I was glad to find the one I found because it worked perfectly but the one you posted is better for those not reg edit savy, that's why I made the cab.. Seems that it makes the same reg edit but through a ui interface...
I have a question about app, the software shows option for wifi, bluetooth and phone, can you explain how that works, especially the phone and Bluetooth option.. Also I notice this application shows a option for activation, is this trial software?

UPDATE:
Bandswitch v2.8
This application is nice but it list for 10 euros (13.37200 U.S. dollars) on its website, I like but the cab I posted is free and does same thing.... Thanks, nice find but not for me...

Thanks for info.... Tested patch cab I posted and streaming went flawless. Signal didn't disconnect until I closed browser or last stream open and disconnection was almost instant and reconnected without issues when data app needed it. Im good now. Even works well with email and weather auto settings.... A keeper for me.. But I will keep looking into bandswitch for a little more because the options for wifi and bluetooth got me thinking.

Let me know what those options do. I never even thought to try them out or use them.

From first testing of these features seems that the option for wifi appears to be close to the option for data connections (Will auto disable after inactivity after a time) and the bluetooth option seems to allow a time specs of when the bluetooth wouldn't need to be on... I have tested but I am still experimenting with it, but first impression is that application isn't perfect but has possibilities... Ill test more and update later...

I finally tried it and it doesn't work for me at all. It disconnects my Sirius app despite an active stream, and it disconnects my connection (after a shorter time period than for the Sirius app) after Activesync over-the-air sync with Exchange server. I had made the change directly to the registry:

HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\
Change "SuspendResume" to 0
add "CacheTime" value of 120

My SuspendResume seems to be a "multi-line value" - is this right? what data type should it be? It says "6 bytes" and the value is now 0| - is that correct?!?

And, can someone please tell me how to undo this - I didn't write down what the value was before I changed it. How do I set it back to whatever it was by default?

thanks!

Mike

That is correct, SuspendResume should be 0 but if you used the attached cab this should already be changed to...

HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\
Change "SuspendResume" to 0
add "CacheTime" value of 120

Attached is my regitry that was done with cab attached and I stream radio and access multiple push servers without any issues, also I steam video from my sling box, don't get the issue...

I was told my cab was set to reverse changes when uninstalled, I really never verified this and I never made a cab with original registry because usually everyone backs up before a reg tweak... But you need to place original setting in reg to reverse..

CLICK LINK BELOW, Check original post, attached cab to remove disconnect time out....

hmmm. For me the issue is intermittent - yesterday on the train it kept cutting out on the Sirius (shutting off network). Today in my car I listened for 45 minutes with no problem. But one thing I noticed for sure that's different: when a phone call comes in (even when it's duration is shorter than the time period I specified in the CacheTime), the network is shut off. Before, I could go right back to browsing/listening when the phone call hung up. Could you check to see if it happens to you also?

thanks!!

Mike
