com.htc.resources.apk will need to be repackaged with the old lock screen and re-zipaligned. Then, the whole package would need to be signed in order for it to be used as an update. You could just remove the file all together, which would just keep what you have on there in place after the update but then you'd be missing out on the optimizations from that particular file.

Ugh. Well firstly, how do you sign a package? Such as I would like to add the HTC apk and odex files into Fresh Rom that I like to keep by adding them into the system/app directory on the zip file, as opposed to doing it as a separate job. I cannot find any good resources on this process.

Secondly, any chance of getting a signed zip to install to return to the original unlock screen of the Hero but keep everything else in place?

after i flash the 0.6 rom, flash this over 0.6 the same way? Or delete 0.6, replace with this update and flash? i have no clue but i want this also... please help out this old "newbie" Thanks!!

so im supposed to to delete the 0.6 zip, replace it with zipalign, then flash? will this improve 0.6 or replace it?

just flash it like you did the .6 rom

When you reboot into recovery there is an option to "Choose Zip" all the zips you have in the root of your sdcard will be listed. Just choose the one you want and BAM!

if i put zipalign on my sd card and reboot, what will happen to 0.6? will it still be on my phone after this flash? and when 0.7 comes out,if i did the same steps, what would happen to 0.6 and zipalign? im just tryin to understand this all.... thanks!!!!! and do i save any of these to my compuer like i did when i rooted my phone?

You flash it just like you did the rom, it will over write the apks that are on there. If you flash another rom, just reflash the optimizations over it again
