Re: Help - 100 awake. (NOT mms/sms)

I'm going to have to agree with monkey. This might be a deal breaker for me. Will probably test other phones.

Did y'all do the firmware update and then Hard Reset? I have read elsewhere that some people did multiple hard resets before the firmware update really seemed to stick.

Honestly what do you have to lose. The current setup isn't working for you at all so might as well try the root and other roms.

Yeah, you're right..

I used to screw with a Touch Pro a lot, I know that I can go back to normal state if I wanted to.

The same can be done with this phone right? Unroot it I guess?

Re: Help - 100 awake. (NOT mms/sms)

SO after 4 days plus of great sleeptime and not installing anything I noticed my battery seemed to be draining faster so I checked my Awaketime and it was slowly climbing. So I turned my phone off and back on and I have been at 100% awake time for 14 hours now. I have installed nothing so it must just be the OS or something about my phone that breaks the firmware update. This is awful

Update: Ok my phone has been awake for over 7 hours straight (100%) and I have used it briefly text messaging and phone calls and some web and I still have 70% of my battery left so it isn't draining the battery badly but just won't sleep. Weird

Yeah Sik, it really sucks. I'm going in this weekend to exchange it.

Re: Help - 100 awake. (NOT mms/sms)

For those of you that are saying you are having a 100% wake issue, even after the update, I guarantee you that it's one of your apps. Advanced task killer is one that is known to keep the phone awake (even if it doesn't show it in spare parts).

- Do a clean restore using stock RUU
- Do the sprint update
- Do not install any apps and use it for a few hours (unplugged!) and I guarantee you that you won't have 100% uptime.
- Once you have confirmed it's working, install your apps in groups at a time until you figure out which one is causing your problem.

Note:
- If you are plugged in then it won't sleep
- When you restart your phone it resets the % timer so it will always start at 100%
- When your phone boot up for the first time it won't start sleeping until you wake it up and then put it to sleep again.

I have done all of the above multiple times and the 100% Awake time goes away for awhile but always comes back no matter what I do or do not install. And no I do not have Advanced Task Killer installed. I know that when you reset the phone the % starts at 100%. I really don't go by the percentage I go by the time and the two are always exactly the same. My phone slept when it was charging before so I don't know why people keep saying it doesn't
