^A classic example of why many Sprint users should get TEP insurance.

Re: who has the Sprint insurance?

in store service on HTC phones is non-existent. They dont even list it on the sprint website as a possibility! Just go for the $4 loss, physical damage, water damage insurance. Warranty should cover everything else!!!

Re: who has the Sprint insurance?

bb insurance is good but if you need them to check out your phone you have to take it in and they send it off to get checked out which takes about two weeks and they give you a loaner phone for that time period it is gone. Also i dont think it covers water damage. Sprint temp is 7 dollars but its 3 for service in the store and 4 for asurion which covers lost, water and crack screen damage. You dont have to get both. If your lucky and you can get a rep to add the 4 dollar temp which is 3(service) + 1 (asuron)= 4 total then its worth it. Dont know if this is still in the system but those that have it still save 3 dollars.

TEP4 is the soc, thats the one i used... but make sure they dont add the 4 dollar cover which is just service. just tell them to replace the 7 with a 4 and log in online and make sure its TEP not the other one.

Re: who has the Sprint insurance?

Right about the Best Buy insurance. The warranty service is out-sourced so most (if not all) work will take a lot longer than if you went with Sprint's insurance.

Re: who has the Sprint insurance?

I have gotten my keyboard replaced on my pro at a sprint service store before, but having the insurance is worth it unless you have a old school phone in which you can buy online for less than the 100 deductible.

Re: who has the Sprint insurance?

I won't have a smart phone without the insurance. I don't want to pay $500+ if something(tm) happens.

Re: who has the Sprint insurance?

This is a No Brainer. ITs an investment. Like Buying a New Car without Insurance. If something Happens then you play full price again. Do the math 399.99-499.99 *2 compared to 7*12 or even 7*24...............Also unless this has changed in the past 2 months if you have the full insurance and your phone malfunctions for any of the service related reasons Sprint Will overnight you a phone without going into the store. I have even had the phone replaced instore for a cracked screen. As long as it is inner LCD they can replace it. there Policy is if its serviceable meaning not Physically mutilated , and they are unable to repair it , they issue you a new or refurbished one. this can also lead to an upgrade if the unit is not in stock or no longer carried. Asurion handles the claims when eh phone is lost/stolen or physically damaged beyond repair. They also can upgrade or swap out the model if your not happy with the replacement. You Win either Way
