what does rooting the hero mean?
my freind told me its like jailbreaking the iphone, you get apps for free. if so how do i do that?

and make my phone into a modem.

how do i download something that callled like better droid so i can get some of these apps and can i get it for free?
also open home and aHome.

one last thing, what phone is better the htc hero or the iphone?
and what phone is more customizable?

Rooting the hero is unlocking it. Look in my Signature at my Tips and Tricks thread, it is the first 5 posts.

No free apps will be discussed on this forum that aren't freeware. No warez!

Idk what better droid is, but if it isn't free its warez and it is not allowed here.

Hero is more customizable and has ability to multi-task. Plus the hero discussed here is CDMA so if you are on Sprint there is no option for an iphone.

yea i know i cant get the iphone, but my freind has one and he thinks its the best phone in the world and i disagree with the hero, so i wanna know what everyone elses opinion.

I see. Well the Hero can have more than one app open at a time. The memory can be expanded. The battery can be removed so you can swap batteries. It has a 5mp camera. That's just off the top of my head! It will be hard to change a fanboi's opinion though haha good luck.

that one program thing is called better android and for some apps i need it to get them.
