Re: App count before its starts to slow down noticeably

Oh ok. Have you rooted yours yet? If so how well does the Ap2sd work? I would think that going from sd card to device might take a little longer to load instead of off the device. but i dont know i dont have the Hero yet. After seeing everything that can be done now with Android my Diamond looks old school even after flashing about once a week to a new rom.

Rooted running modaco w appstosd2 it is like winmo only faster. I noticed no slow down and maybe even a speed up! I suggest the hero, rooting and putting apps on sd, which is from my winmo days prob haha.

Yea, but I mean, if I have 110 the phone is completely unusable! It won't connect to the tower. If I don't uninstall an app it will force close and sense will constantly restart.

Where'd you get the app counter? I must be getting close to 100. Everytime I add a new app, I ask myself if it's worth it... but there is so many awesome apps to add. Every day I find 2 or 3 more.

What's the best way to backup every app you have added? I know astro does it, but not sure exactly what it does, or how.

Appmanager does it and like you said astro, I am not sure where it puts them haha. But I just counted by how many rows I had in programs times 4. It was at 100 when I had it working correctly, 110 is just a guess. I helped a guy root who had this same problem. Maybe its only certain phones.

Re: App count before its starts to slow down noticeably

I had this issue as well as I went download crazy and it's what lead to my inability to receive sms text or VVM. Hard reset made phone usable once again but every time I either downloaded a crazy amount of apps or used up all my internal memory I had to do a hard reset to fix. Had to have phone replaced to be able to receive SMS and VVM again but I think that's a little more rare and Sprint has a fix their testing for that situation.
