Kinda the same thing I did, but how do we now create a "backup" image file in case we need to reflash to it, and how do we flash the image if Flashrec is not working?

Re: Sprint Hero rooted?

Ok, it seems as thought after a soft reset I was able to now do a backup image. Question is, it was REALLY fast like a few seconds. Then after that the button changed to "Restore Backup image" and when I hit that it works for like 2 seconds and says it was loaded. This can't be right is it? I would figure it would take longer then this.

Also, how do you get into bootloader mode? I hold down the power and home button but just get a exclamation mark in a triangle and a picture of a phone. What am I doing wrong?

if you have copied or made a backup of the image to your sd card, once u get to the recovery screen by turning the phone off and turning the phone on holding the power and menu buttons, you can create your backup image...

Ok, how long am I supposed to hold these down?

It just booted my phone up but now I see a transparent "Safe mode" right over menu button on the screen. And there is a small image over one of my shortcuts on the home screen with lem, load, ing and gadg. But it does nothing when I try and click on it. Seems as though there are other things there too but I can't see them as they are cut off.

Re: Sprint Hero rooted?

Guys,

I had trouble loading the adb usb drivers on xp for a friend. Ended up downloading them for him. Here they are in case anyone else needs them:

Re: Sprint Hero rooted?

Now that it has been rooted would be possible to get a sticky created in the forum with the instructions that have been posted. Then perhaps a list of apps that can be removed without adversely effecting the phone or causing too many forced kills could be posted as well.
