Re: Hero Plan rumors?

Sprint really isnt ripping anyone off with this plan. AT&T charges way for the same and Verizon is the same price with 450minutes + $15 to use exchange and hidden fees out the wazooo. PLUS unlimited mobile to mobile to ANYONE I loves sprint <3

You can also get phones from newegg unlocked. They do have the GSM Hero, and some other CDMA and GSM android phones, i do believe if you buy a phone in that fashion (meaning unsubsidized) you can activate them in any manner you want. I have a friend that did with with Tmobile. With Sprint it depends on the rep you get on the phone, you can get 10 different answers from 10 different sprint reps lol.

Thanks for the info. I heard otherwise, with Sprint, the reps have to change the plan to a new current plan once they type in the ESN number for the phone they are activating, a pop up will appear and they will not be able to continue unless a new data plan is selected. That is what I heard from many reps and was interested to know how the above poster did it.
