its not the ball thats expensive its the work thats put into making the phone design and all the time it takes to implement it into the operating system... you may think its not expensive but something like a little track ball can really rack up the bill

All the work was done with the mytouch 3g. All they had to do was put it into a slightly modified shell.

so does anyone have any special ways to clean the trackball? it seems like everyone got excited about sharing their ball touching times...

I apologize, i couldnt resist, if you run a swiffer cloth around the ball, it will keep it clean for quite some time, once theres to much in there you can VERY CAREFULLY remove the silver ring with a screwdriver and blow out the dust.

(I take no responcibility for damage caused by removing the track ball) :P

also keep in mind, HTC makes a good trackball, nobody really has issues of it getting dirty, and if you have the warranty, its covered
