Re: should i?....

I may be WAYYY out of line on this, because while I like to think I know a little bit about this stuff, I am nowhere near the level of expertise of most users here; however, I came over from the HTC Touch on WM and never used a custom ROM, but I get the gist of what it's all about....basically making your phone as much your own as possible and tricking/tweaking it to levels way beyond the realm of what WM allows or envisioned....isn't that EXACTLY what Android is all about? I mean, sure, there are things that could always be tweaked, but for the most part, the entire OS platform of Android is built on the "open" frame of mind. Is there really that much more that can be done?

I certainly don't mean any disrespect to anyone with this post, I guess I'm just more curious than anything to see what people's thoughts are on this. The way I look at it, Android is for the most part an "open ROM" paradise in which everyone (even the technologically stupid like myself) can be pseudo-chefs
