doesnt matter if it is OTA, ask her if it can be done by USB. I bet a lot of us dont mind

I will, I am getting mine updated today if it KILLS me! So it will either be OTA or USB, I don't care. If she is wrong, then here and I are going to have a little talk about making me look stupid in a forum!...lol

Yeah and I specifically said SPRINT reps tend to blow smoke. Maybe that has never happened and I'm being negative.

I don't believe that 1.6 is out already for the Sprint Hero and nothing has been said.

So let me get this right
you have a friend that did an OTA upgrade for Sprint Hero and has 1.6 Donut running?
And now you are on your way to get it done.

You shouldn't post information like this and get everyone excited. If one person can do the OTA everyone can unless she changed the source for OTA which I highly doubt. backup your posts with screenshots instead of getting everyone excited.

And folks remember Sprint is only going to have update when HTC has released it to sprint with proper code check to make sure it is compatible with Sense UI so while it is made available for OTA upgrade, it will appear on http://www.htc.com/ support section for Hero way before.

Its coming, soon!

You are correct. THERE IS NO DONUT UPGRADE FOR THE SPRINT HERO, so it doesn't matter if you go to the sprint store and try to have them do it for you or if you hit the check for upgrades button till your fingers bleed. The Hero is not a vanilla google device, so ROM upgrades will need to come from HTC and not Google. If you watch HTC's twitter feed you will see that they have been slowly rolling out updates for european and asian markets. I'm not going to take a guess on how long it will take them to roll out an update for the Sprint hero, but it should hopefully be soon.
