Re: Sprint Hero and Donut 1.6
All of you worried about bricking your phone, getting charged for the upgrade and what not. Just be patient, Sprint WILL have OTA update for 1.6 (Donut). Disregard the threads/blogs/sites that say Sprint is not capable of OTA for the Android. Look at the Palm Pre updates they are well over 80MB and sprint has no problems pushing those out.
I believe the real reason why they are holding back is because HTC's Sense UI and all other other applications that are packaged with the Hero, they all need to be tested with 1.6 to make sure the code is compatible. It will come soon, patience is a virtue |

Re: Sprint Hero and Donut 1.6
The main problem is that they had to take the CDMA compatibility from 1.6 and add it to 1.5 in order to release the phone on schedule. They (SPRINT) never had the time to test all of their other in house applications with 1.6, so they were stuck and opted to just release 1.5. I am sure before Xmas there will be a 1.6 update available. The Palm Pre does large OTA's and I am sure this update wont be much bigger. Patience is a virtue supposedly, but it can also pay off especially with a great phone like this one.
