just got off the phone with a rep at my local store, he said that i could exchange my touch pro for a touch pro 2 if there were something wrong with the unit. I am contacting the national sprint now.

Update: Called Sprints 800 number, spoke to a rep there, She didnt know anything about exchanging pro's for pro 2's.

Im going to go to the store and see if i can get it done.

Update: There were no TP2's in stock at the location i went to, and every rep there sucked.

I went to a Sprint store today and they looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned this. Tele sales had not heard of it either...

Is this limited to certain areas or is Sprint's line of communication THAT bad?

I had to call back. The first telesales rep told me the release was pushed back to oct 14, due to inventory issues. I called back a few minutes later, and ordered the phone.

OMG OMGOMG!

UPDATE:!!

So I called yesterday about exchanging for a TP2 for my broken TP, well the guy said he'd just send me a new TP free of charge. I was cool with that, whatever.

Ummm package just arrived, next day air. I'm like AWESOME that was quick...yeah it's a TOUCH PRO 2!!! HOLY CRAP!

wow, I wish there was something wrong with my tp1, but i would not have the luck. I have been fighting with sprint/nextel for more then 2 months now, about my husbands BB 8350i ( I am always very nice) and they really don't care. I called retentions and they don't seem to care either. I have been with them since 1997.
So to all those people that get what you want, How the hell do you do it!

Sprint does not really care too much about their long term customers, I am sad to say.
But persistence is the key to try to get what you are able to.
I assume you are on an older plan? which is most likely the reason Sprint is not giving you a whole lotta happiness

No, I updated my plan. when i got the tp1 I have an everything plan.

if your local store is not a repair they probably wont know about the tp1 to tp2 exchange. they made a change to the return procedure for it and changed the list of devices to replace the tp1 with to include alot of other options to get people out the pro since so many had issues. funny thing is mine hasn't given my any problems lol.

our store has a few heros ready for the 11th, and im ready to sell them all lol. its a great phone, lots of fun and tons of cool apps. i would be getting one to if it had a HW keyboard.

I will be ready to upgrade in november and I want the hero or the pre,... i really want the leo, but thats not going to happen.

there is a few other phone coming out soon that haven't been publicized to much that are pretty neat, you are gonna have a heck of a decision in november for sure lol.
