Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!

I spoke with a BB rep today that was really cool. He says that you need to have the coupon to get the phone tommorow, and that the coupon should have been emailed to your rewards account. I'm going to be doing some phone calling because I can't remember which email that was for the life of me...

Just as a heads up though, they are expecting you to have that coupon IN HAND.

Also, got to feel a demo unit while I was there. Didn't boot up, but man, I loved the way it felt in the hand... makes me realize how much of a brick my TP1 was.

Wirelessly posted (Sprint Touch Pro: Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/17289; U; en))

I just went to Best Buy, they did not have a demo but they did have the actual phone in stock.. the guy was cool.. he let me play with it, it was great, the screen was responsive, it was actually larger than I thought it would be, thinner too.. I attempted the on screen keyboard and I can tell its going to be a learning curve.. I didn't spell anything correctly on it.. but all in all a beautiful device in person

You didn't know that it required an Everything Data Plan?

Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!

I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere but... I just got off the phone with Sprint sales and the rep said he would sell me the phone full retail for $479.99. I'm going to try to get Best Buy to match that price (or even match the price on the sprint.com/hero site of $429.99) since I have a few BB gift cards.
