thats what i'm planning on doing, my pre and all of the oem accessories should be plenty to cover the cost of the Hero

1. If currently syncing locally with Outlook and want to continue local syncing with Outlook on the Hero, then select your sync source as Outlook from the settings menu and use the HTC HotSync app to sync.

2. If currently using Exchange and want to continue to use Exchange, then select your sync source as Exchange and setup your Exchange account on the Hero.

3. If you want to use the Google PIM apps on the Hero, then I don't know. I didn't research how to sync and use the Google PIM apps, because I don't plan to use them.
Well i'm not currently syncing using anything right now...I will just need to get my contacts from my Touch Pro to the Hero...Thats all...

If you have outlook, that would be the easiest way. Otherwise, you can upload your contacts to google, and then, sync them to your hero.

You can also use a program called Funambol , it works great and will sync from wm to android, WM to iPod touch/iPhone, and any other which way backward you want.

Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!

It's incredibly easy to get your contacts onto android...just use google sync. I use it right now to sync my calendar and contacts and now I get push email. when I get my Hero, I simply sign in and have everything just the way I left it.

Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!

Where are you importing/exporting contacts from/to?

I imported my outlook contacts into google by exporting a .csv file. All went well EXCEPT how the contact is "filed" on my WM device. For instance, I want my friend "John Smith"to be displayed as "Dr. John" in my WM contacts. Somehow google decided that "Smith, John" was more appropriate.
