well mail in rebates are a joke but i can't beat only having to pay like 180 bucks for it after my $150 discount towards my upgrade.

Yep, the version you used is a super hack made by the very smart guys out there. Never meant to happen by the developers. The version you will get with the Hero will not have any of these problems.

yeah after talking to a few people im done using the vogue android builds and i will be buying the hero. the pre just doesn't cut it for me.

How will you be paying $80?

$430 (cost of phone) - Your $150 for renewing your contract = $280
$280 - $100 sprint rebate = $180

Where is the other $100?

If Best Buy sells the phone, problem solved. They usually give you the phone for the price, after MIRs. So, BB would sell the phone for $180, and you don't have to have to mail off anything.

Well, I wasn't talking about SERO accounts. I kind of understand why they wouldn't allow this phone on SERO accounts. I was talking about data addons. I'm willing to pay for data addon but not a change of plans. The current rebate form doesn't have the HERO grouped with the phones that require an Everything Data Plan and I hope it stays that way or else I won't be getting the Hero =\

If you are a Premier customer you can upgrade to a new phone every 12 months for, I believe, the same price as a new customer. Otherwise it's every years. Both of these scenerios assumes you are signing a 2 year contract.
