Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!
Dan@sprint.com to me
I received the following email today after receiving a call from a Sprint rep in response to my emails. Without saying it he is implying that the Hero will be compatible with SERO, not definitive but a good omen. Dear Howard, Thank you for speaking with me today. Per our conversation, we have not been provided the plan compatibility for the HTC Hero yet. However, all of our previous HTC phones have been compatible with the SERO plans. If you have any other questions you can contact me at 757-223-xxxx. Of equal importance, during our phone conversation, he said the Diamond 2 will be released this year when i asked him if it will be sooner or later he said sooner that since TP2 has been released and in the past similar phones (to TP2, D2) have been released near each other..... Could The D2 be the Sprint phone released Oct 6th with 6.5? Just thinking out loud. |

Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!
It was stated by Dan Hesse on BuzzAboutWireless.com that they would release a WM phone with NDC sometime this year but it hasn't happened yet. If the D2 has NDC I will drop the TP2 for the D2.

Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!
I received this email yesterday, further confirmation that this will be available on any plan as long as you have unlimited data, which all SERO accounts have.
Dear Vincent, Thank you for contacting Dan@sprint.com. Beginning Oct. 11, customers will be able to purchase HTC Hero through all Sprint retail channels including Web (www.sprint.com), Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) and our national retail partner Best Buy for a tentative price of $179.99 after a $50 instant savings and a $100 mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement. Pre-registration is available at www.sprint.com/hero. As far as this phone being available to SERO accounts, you may also take advantage of upgrading to this phone. HTC Hero requires activation on a pricing plan offering unlimited data, so if your current plan does not have this, you will have to change your plan as well. If you have any additional questions, you may reply to this email. I look forward to speaking with you and resolving your concerns. Sincerely, Traci P. Sprint
