Rooted 1.5 to 2.1?

Sorry my head is spinning I just can't seem to find a good answer anywhere, phone is on 1.5 rooted time to go up to 2.1 is there a good guide for this? I find plenty of guides for rooting 2.1, that all assuming you already have 2.1, I'm leery about just upgrading OTA through sprint and messing something up. Then I assume sprint is will give me the .6 version then I'd have to downgrade to the .5, I would think there is an easier way. Little green on Andriod, I rooted it, but that was sometime ago, never did anything more from that point.

Since you're already rooted, just go for a 2.1 version ROM instead... Try Fresh 2.1.2, was running it on my Hero until i upgraded to EVO, seemed very stable and not too many problems. Hit http://geekfor.me/new-release/fresh-hero-233/ - just released new version for Fresh or hit this link and click thru to the WIKI list of 2.1 roms.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=674833

Either way, flashing/updating a new 2.1 rom beats locking into the OTA version...

I was in fact just checking that thread out, the only issue being that I'm not andriod savy at all, (on my Touch Pro 2 right now) from what I'm reading, it sounds like I need to figure out aps to sd to do this rom... I mean it doesnt appear I can just flash and go, more like I'll have to completely wipe her Sd card install aps to sd, then flash the rom, not to mention they say You're suppose to wipe, then delvak (sp?) wipe, then flash... Got me head spinning a bit trying to figure out what all that means... From what I gather the regular wipe is pretty much a hard reset, and I have no idea of what the other wipe is.

I guess I'm looking for a good "plug and play" rom with at this point minimal time investment (not sure if I'll make the andriod leap at this point ) Can this rom be done with minimal time investment?

Apps2sd is optional. You absolutely can just flash and go. You will, however, have to wipe all the apps and data, but you would have to do that anyway.

New Rom is on, seems fine so far, just went with the Deoxed stock rom. Didn't want anything too crazy yet.

Try the OC kernel. It will just flash in without disturbing anything. I'm lovin Android!!!
