2.1..STILL not able to sync contacts pics with facebook?

hope this helps... I had the same issue only my hero running stock 2.1, would ONLY show the FB profile pic for a linked contact and I wanted to use camera pics, called adv. tech - no help - finally just figured it out. 1st go into "settings", then "acounts + sync" and "add account", use "facebook for htc sense" and log into facebook, this will link ALL your contacts with a FB contact if they match! To select a pic for any one person AFTER they link you go into the contact (not "edit") and in that screen at the top it should show a green bar that says linked, touch the screen on that bar and will bring up the linked accounts, i.e. google,facebook, etc. on the linked screen press "menu" hard button and then "select contact photo" and pick what you want. TAHDAH!!!
