Battery life

Looking at getting a Hero. Compared to the TP, how long does the battery typically last? I get maybe 8 hours out of my TP with normal use. Heavy use, like 3 hours, if that!

Re: Battery life

I usually wake up around 8 and take my phone off the charger about then. I use my phone a lot. a LOT a lot. I have, on a regular basis, not needed to charge it until 3 or 4 am the next morning. Sometimes i have insomnia.

Re: Battery life

For me, an average day of use (15-16 hours) will leave me 50-60% battery when I go to plug it in at night. My typical day is defined as (approximately) 60 minutes of talk, 100 text messages, send 10-20 emails, sync email from three sources (Exchange, Gmail and personal), 30-60 minutes Slacker or Last.FM, 60-90 minutes of app and/or game usage, and 30-60 minutes Internet usage.

So far this phone has blown away my previous phones with regard to battery, including my tweaked out TP2. For what it's worth, I am running Fresh 2.0d.

About the same as what you get in your TP.

Re: Battery life

The only (Sprint) phones out right now that won't make you go WOW in regards to battery life compared to a TP would be the Pre. The Hero, Moment, TP2 etc...All get great battery life IMO, especially after using Dimaonds, TPs etc...

Re: Battery life

I'm in the same boat as a few oh these guys. I wake up about 7, phone comes off the charger, and it lasts the day until bed time (10:30-11:00). Average usage I end the day with about 10% left

Re: Battery life

With the standard 1500mah it lasts pretty nicely!! It's hard to say whether it has better battery life than my TP since I usually adapt my usage around the battery life to fit my schedule.

I guess it is a little better since I seem to use it more and get around the same results or better than the TP. Can't wait until my 2000mah batt comes and then I'll comment back

Re: Battery life

I hear good and bad, unfortunately, i am lucky if i can go from when i wake up to when i go to bed. If i only talk like 10 minutes 10 emails 10 texts, screen all the way down, no wifi, no BT, no GPS, then i can almost get a day.... but i hear of people going like a day and a half. they have a nice return policy, give it a shot

Are you running stock or a custom ROM?

Re: Battery life

Yeah, i use wifi when available, never turn my gps off, have the brightness on auto, have twitter update every 30 mins, use google voice, browse the web for a total of about 2 hours and use apps on a damn near constant basis, but have never had my battery actually die on me.
