Tried again late last night & now the default browser is working, and calling tech support today because sprint Navi & the droid market wasn't connecting? They said their having network problems which should be resolved by tonight.

I'm using Handcent and didn't see that option, maybe I'm missing something?

I cant advise of a program that wakes the phone but the Hero comes that way on purpose, so the screen doesnt drain the battery every time it wakes on emails and text. I prefer that feature. There is a blinking light, what else more do you need to see you have a message?

True indeed. Anyways, i'm messing with my phone enough that even if there wasn't a sound i wouldn't miss messages.
