i don't think the network has much to do with it, they're distributing the update over the web via pc, as far as i know there isn't much of an OTA component

I just rooted my phone last night, but have spent all day trying to figure out how to get ROMs, with no luck. Will i be able to get the 2.1 update when it comes out since root did nothing for me? Or did I just screw up and stick myself with a rooted 1.56 forever

just do not install the 2.1 update until a dev cracks it and makes a custom rom. if you don't want to be rooted then by all means go for it.

Well I was just looking at the home page and ...DAMMIT, looks like the Moment has gotten the 2.1 update!!! WTF??? Is the Hero the bald headed step child or what? "SMH"

is this really a necessary comment or are you just trolling for fun? if you want to be like that, look at how many roms the hero has compared to your precious moment. =D>

the hero 2.1 should be out shortly, id say by the 21st.

Sprint just Twittered about the Moment update ... but ended with "Hero users, you're up next!" I hope that means SOON!

Nothing official though, not that it really matters.

All kidding aside though, I really thought that 2.1 would hit the Hero first and not the Moment... I bet it will be released in the next couple of days though. I was at the Sprint store just last week and the three worked that I talked to there all had Hero's with 2.1 on them, they told me it was a hacked version too... what?!

I don't troll, I do put some valuable things on this site in general... not everything has value though.
