The Moment doesn't come close to the Hero. I was thinking about switching when it came out but then my brother bought one. Don't get me wrong its an ok device android is sweet so it allows the phone to be customized to your liking, but man the Hero is just so much better. The Moment isn't really much faster despite the extra processing power and its really bland. You really appreciate the Sense features when using a Moment. Plus the device its self is ugly, wide, heavy and uncomfortable in your hand in comparison to the Hero. The keyboard is weird, with keys placed in akward positons. My brother has had many issues, from gps, bluetooth, terrible battery, and more. The camera is much better on the Hero even with out the flash. I could really go on and on. Bottom line is the Hero is the obvious better of the two and it doesnt take much time playing with the Moment to see this. Also, the support forums for the Moment seem to really be lacking. There's SO much development for the Hero and the Moment just cant match it. When you consider the roms and the Pre kitchen and our great group here in addition to the inate benefits of the Hero there's just no comparison.

The Moment's screen is really nice and is worth mentioning however

Re: Disapponted with my new hero.

I will say that the hero is kinda blah really this is coming from a tp1/2 it's cool i guess. I think it could be a little better though but it is what it is. What do you guys recommend as far as flashing roms and etc, so that I can have a better opinion on the hero.

I'm completely satisfied with what's in my sig...I have the flash patch for Fresh but I've never tried it honestly.

Re: Disapponted with my new hero.

Ok im running into some problems so I figure I can ask some of you vets as far as rooting and flashing goes.

Im trying to root but I guess maybe my comp sucks or what but. Whenever watching the online videos of roooting. The flashrec files are already at the apk. status. Now for when I dl it's not like that and, even when I put it on the sd card I get no options cept to unzip and it's no other options.

My question is what am I missing or doing wrong. If it helps im on a comp with vista home premium 32-bit using winrar. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Re: Disapponted with my new hero.

The thing that is REALLY starting to piss me off about this phone is the lag when typing. I know this phone has alot of potential because when i flashed the 1.6 AOSP rom the lag was gone, but while we are stuck on this hacked up 1.5 rom I want to throw my phone out the window whenever I type on it!

They REALLY need to get the 2.1 update out.

Did you turn off haptic feedback and typing sounds? That helps to speed up the keyboard.
