Keep Track of Apps?

Is there a way I can keep track of all my installed apps, like a list mode or something. I wanted to factory reset my Hero, but there are some apps that I remember to install from the Market and then there are those small apps I came across that I may use from time to time that I just can't remember the name or something.

If there was a way that would monitor what I installed or only if the Market had a manager system tied to your Gmail to see app history or manage apps online and in the event of a reset, I can 'push' apps from my online manager onto the clean Hero...

I know that, but even if I were to factory reset my phone, or restore an older nandroid backup...it reverts to what it was previously or in the case of factory reset, nothing installed.

Re: Keep Track of Apps?

You will need to reinstall your apps if you do a hard reset.

Re: Keep Track of Apps?

There has to be something in that market that does this, I'm sure. I once did a screen capture of my entire app list to recall what apps I had, prior to the Hard Reset.

You shouldn't need to do a screenshot for your app list. After a hard reset, log back in to your google account, and your list of downloaded/purchased apps displays there. You just need to re-install them.

Maybe I missed the point of your post....

No you're right but problems persist when you have many apps that are not in the market or not from the market.

Not sure if that applies to the OP's situation though.

Re: Keep Track of Apps?

You could backup with astro. I wouldn't suggest installing from there but you will have all your apps on the storage card and that would be a list. Don't install them all though because they won't show up in market.

Well, if its possible to log in after the reset and Ill have a list of the apps, that works for me. I don't mind having to reinstall them all. I didn't know that was available.

And for those that aren't in the market, I usually have or will download the apk to my computer.
