Re: I'm Ready to Choke Somebody.... How to transfer contacts from PIM file to Hero...
Have a google account? If so, you should be able to setup exchange with googlesync to upload all your contacts to gmail, from there you can edit/clean up all your contacts then just sync up your hero with gmail and you'll get all your contacts. This is assuming of course that you still have service on your touchpro. If not, go to the sprint store and they should be able to do it for you. They did with my mogul.

Reason for edit: had another thought and if you establish a Bluetooth connection between the 2 phones you might be able to transfer your contacts that way as well though it may take a while to do it via nluetooth transfer.

Re: I'm Ready to Choke Somebody.... How to transfer contacts from PIM file to Hero...
You could also use active sync to sync your TP to your computer (assuming of course that you have outlook ) and then use the HTC sync program that's on your Hero's as card to sync the contacts from Outlook to your Hero.
With all that being said I recommend the option above to use Google sync. Especially if your TP still has service if it doesn't you still may be able to do it using WiFi not sure tho. |

Re: I'm Ready to Choke Somebody.... How to transfer contacts from PIM file to Hero...
I feel your pain, I felt the same way when I first unboxed, took me hours to figure it out. All you have to do is activesync your contacts from your pro to your computer into microsoft outlook. Then hook your HERO up to your computer via a usb cable, then go to my computer and look for the drive for the hero, should be e or f, or something like that....double click on it, then you should see a list of folders. You should look for a folder named htc, I believe, then u should see a program called "htc sync" inside of it, double click it, install it, and then just sync up. Your contacts and calenders from Outlook should sync to your phone...not the best written, because I am tired, hope this helps

Re: I'm Ready to Choke Somebody.... How to transfer contacts from PIM file to Hero...
Is PIMBackup the only place you have them backed up?
If you have it sync'ed with Exchange/Outlook then you should be able to export your contacts in multiple formats, upload them to GMAIL, and then GSync with your Hero.

Re: I'm Ready to Choke Somebody.... How to transfer contacts from PIM file to Hero...
What I did was in PIM Backup I did a backup of my contacts. Took that *.pib file it makes, threw it on my desktop and rename it to *.zip Inside that zip file is a .csc file take that rename it to .csv and then you can import that into your google contacts or whatever imports .csv files. Only problem I had was contacts pictures didn't transfer properly

Re: I'm Ready to Choke Somebody.... How to transfer contacts from PIM file to Hero...
I love how when somebody doesn't know how to do something, they think it's someone else's fault. Do you really want to choke somebody because you're not smart enough to figure something out?
