Hard reset!

how do u hard reset the sprint htc hero?? i need to do it :/

You can do a factory data reset, by going to menu > settings > security > factory data reset. I hope that helps. Or if you have it rooted or mooded you can install the RRU and that should bring the phone to a complete fresh out of factory state.

The RUU can be used whether or not you are rooted. It will completely unroot the device in the process though. It is the most thorough and effective way to hard reset, though. It takes you straight back to factory. The new stock RUU is in the upgrade section. Good luck.

You can read the Hero Tips and Tricks thread that is in the stickies that says look here first. It has a hard reset in there. I actually had to do it when I first got my phone so I posted that. It is a manual way with buttons.
