Headphone jack doesnt work??

Well i noticed that my headphone jack no longer works.. it doesn't recognize anything is plugged in. In my car i use my old touch pro's dongle that lets me plug a 3.5 mm jack into it and then use the usb port for charging and music. That route no longer works either. Not sure when this started happening, but it's really annoying as i used to enjoy music and Navigation through the speakers of my car.
