youtube suddenly not playing videos - Page 6

If you use the stock browser, you can just go to the regular YouTube site & it'll play almost every video. Won't be HQ, but its fine for me.

Ahh... After downloadingthe patch, YouTube seemed tobe working fine, but now, I am getting same issues as before the patch 'Cannot play this file type'.... sadness has fallen upon me...

I'm thinking that maybe you have to be running the Fresh 1.1 ROM in order for the Flash Patch to work? I tried reinstalling it, and I could get YouTube app to play vids in HQ only after playing videos on the actual mobile youtube site... Sounds weird I know, but That's all I can figure out for now. Even after playing vids on the YouTube mobile site, then going back to the app and playing vids, some would still say 'Cannot play this video format' or something to that effect. After that I tried playing the exact same video that previously said could not play, and voila! it would play in HQ. Does anyone have anykind of feedback?

For me, i use quick sttings to disable mobile data then re-enable it and videos will play. If they stop playing, kill data, revive, movies play. Lather rinse repeat.

I too am having the same issues on stock. I called Sprint support and they in turn call HTC and then called me back. According to HTC this is a known issue and should be fixed when the next version of Android come out.

well im running fresh 2.0b (2.1) and youtube works great now...
