youtube suddenly not playing videos - Page 5

hey thanks alot for calling and looking into this a little more....we all know how much of a pain in the ass it is to wait and wait on hold for little or no resolve...and just a quick update,tried m.youtube.com and the hero's players( youtube,flash) still will not play vids...thanks for the effort though........

I couldn't get any better answers, I tried m.youtube.com and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I wish htc would have a phone that actually would work the way it was supposed to for a change...

While m.youtube works for me, I have two issues with this:

1) You can't watch videos in high quality (I can't use the menu button in the HTC flash player)
2) Not sure if this is because of my BT headphones, or what, but the sound cuts out, almost like it is buffering, but the video plays smoothly (I mainly watch YouTube at work, and don't want to disturb others)

i think thats a second problem.. ive had 2 heros and both have done that on the youtube app.. it plays smoothly at times and then sounds gone.. its annoying..

Just throwing it out there, I did a hard reset today with no avail. The videos seem to play in low quality, but once I switch to high quality I get the error.

Try long pressing the vid and saving to phone, then opening. Just a thought.

I agree, but if it works it may be usable until the 2.1 update. We can get something going on Twitter if you'd like.

Ok, Tha County showed me something that fixed all my YouTube woes, and my flash woes when browsing the net via Hero. You can find it at geekfor.me

make sure you install from boot screen, not through kitchen. peace-br

I really can't believe that this was the fix. I thought everyone was rocking this and some just weren't working!
