Problems Rooting

I am having so many problems rooting this phone...I was able to learn winmo crap a lot easier....

Here is the problem I tried doing the root by flashrec and i would never be able to do a recovery image and when the phone reset I would see a warning sign and a dead phone...

Now I'm trying to do it through SDK and command prompts...when I type cd AndroidSDK\Tools\
..it says system cannot find the path specified

any help

If you unzipped the sdk to the root of your hard drive, open cmd.
Type this exactly:
cd\
cd /(whatever you named your sdk folder)/tools
adb devices

if it worked, you'll see your phones id number pop up.

Re: Problems Rooting

Stick with it. I couldn't do it the flash rec way, and it took me hours of trying a myriad of approaches with adb, but I got it (ppcgeeks, xda, android forums and google). Everytime I got frustrated, I thought about how many other peopled posted about their frustrations and got it figured out. Of course I was bound and determined to get it rooted the first day i got it. lol.

Good luck!
