yes, another campaign

I'd like to know the status on the update. if sprint can't give us a tba date then why not let us know the amount of completion? like, out of 100%, where are you (sprint) at with android 2.1 update? that alone would make me feel better.

The Droid is getting the 2.1 update this week. I hope we get ours way before June 30, 2010......

I posted on Sprint's facebook page, and they replied with this:

"We do not have an date at this time. You can view any software updates on http://www.facebook.com/l/a613b;www.sprint.com. Thanks."

Not gonna lie, the length of time its taking, is working my patience.

By the time we get this ver, I bet we'll be 2 builds behind. SMH :/
I wouldn't care or be as mad if it didn't effect the market.

Maybe we as a group should start posting on Sprints facebook page that if we don't have an update soon, we're leaving Sprint to go with a more reliable provider. We've had this phone for too long now for Sprint to not at least have a date. Without Sprint having a date for us, tells me they've moved on to the next phone they plan to boast about. If you watch the commercials, the Hero is no longer mentioned.

Which US carrier has updated their 1.5 or 1.6 devices to 2.1?

I assume you will be leaving Sprint to go with that carrier.

He is probably going by the talk from the droid forum. They are supposedly getting their 2.1 this weeks some time.

Droid was already running 2.0. 2.0 -> 2.1 is not a very big jump.

Yeah, but its still updating a version number, not just patching the hacked together rom that was initially realeased. Sprint really needs a fire under their ass about this. The Hero should've shipped with 1.6. There is no reason for us to have 1.5 while 2.0 and 2.1 devices are being launched.
