Re: Power of Twitter and the 2.1 update.
I posted on Sprint's facebook page, and they replied with this:
"We do not have an date at this time. You can view any software updates on http://www.facebook.com/l/a613b;www.sprint.com. Thanks."

Re: Power of Twitter and the 2.1 update.
Maybe we as a group should start posting on Sprints facebook page that if we don't have an update soon, we're leaving Sprint to go with a more reliable provider. We've had this phone for too long now for Sprint to not at least have a date. Without Sprint having a date for us, tells me they've moved on to the next phone they plan to boast about. If you watch the commercials, the Hero is no longer mentioned.

I assume you will be leaving Sprint to go with that carrier. |

He is probably going by the talk from the droid forum. They are supposedly getting their 2.1 this weeks some time.

We have no date for an update, but you see and hear news about all the other carriers moving to 2.0 or 2.1. I'm tired of waiting. #87 ![]() ![]() |

2.1 is on the way. We will have it in a matter of months, if that. Be a little patient. Oh and as for the "other carriers moving to 2.0 or 2.1," no other carrier has moved a 1.5 or 1.6 phone to 2.0 or 2.1. Chew on that for a while. |

Re: Power of Twitter and the 2.1 update.
The MyTouch 3G got Android 1.6 on October 1, 2009, about a week or week and a half before the Hero launched.
The MyTouch 3G does not have Sense. It's not very reasonable to think that HTC could have completed Sense for the Hero, updated the already-produced units, and shipped them to retailers in the 8-day time span between the release of 1.6 for the vanilla Android MyTouch 3G and the Sprint Hero with SenseUI launch. |
