I'm glad they answered, but I'm really not all thrilled by the response.

By time we get 2.0 (they didn't even say 2.1) the android os is going to be pushing 3.x

/sigh


And I like Sprint, but I wouldn't put it past them for them to adopt int heir model that phones are sold with current OS and only future versions or "re-releases" will get updates. Know what I mean?

"Sprint announces Hero2! All your great features of the Hero on Android 2.1! Upgrade today!" ... yeah, it seems feasible, sadly.


For the most part I love my Hero too (except the stupid "5mp" camera), but Sprint is depriving us of the one cool thing Android has to offer-- a new frontier with rapid updates and new things to explore. Blah!

It's a function of ISO and sensor size. In light that low, your phone is cranking the ISO way up to 800 or even a boosted 800/1600.

It's called noise and all cameras are susceptible to it. It's not static and it's not an issue. Noise is to be expected when taking pictures inside at a tavern at night.

It happens to me in ANY lighting. No matter what. It is a problem, and some people don't experience it.

Doesn't look fine.. looks like an inside picture. Can you post the EXIF data?

Try forcing it to ISO 100 or 200 and see how those turn out.
