Sprint HTC Hero sending email Help

I can recieve emails from earthlink email account but i can not send i get error message outgoing server does not support authenication. Thank you apprecate help

Earthlink blocks smtp access when you are away from home and not on their server. That's a measure they take to help prevent spammers. So you will be unable to use their smtp (outgoing) mail server on your phone.

or use the sprint smtp. I think you can get the info by logging into your account and going to my online tools and then change create password under the productivity tools section
