HTC Hero Please help - Page 3

Aside from the "everything" plans, the Advantage Club plans, or a Sprint Employee plan, there are technically no other plans that'll let you have a Hero or most any other smartphone on it. Having said that... some people have had luck with talking to retentions in order to get other plans or offers. I am pretty sure that there's a Spanish-speaking option for retentions. However, since I can't speak Spanish, I don't know for sure.

I have the same Sprint employee plan that you speak of. You should be able to do the ESN swap over the phone by calling Sprint. That is how I finally got the switch after some difficulty. I first tried to activate my Hero online unsuccessfully. I then tried to do it through a computer chat with a Sprint rep and they tried to pull the same stunt on me (tried to force a plan upgrade). I then tried by calling Sprint and had no issues activating (swapping ESNs). Hope this helps.
