Mugen and Seidio aren't much if at all better than the chinese batts. Yes the Seidio 3500's are good, but they aren't truly 3500.

There's no reason for brand loyalty, if there was no name "3500mAh" battery than I'm sure it'd be just as good as your beloved Seidios
The OP's question was answered early in the thread....it just digressed from there...

While I'm sure you are right, that a knock-off 3500 would give similar performance, I know for a fact that I'm getting more than twice the life out of the seidio than I got with the stock battery. I was hurting to get a single day out of the stock hero battery. Now, I charge every other day, and I really don't need to do that...

I went with the Seidio because of the battery cover. It had much better aesthetics. Plus, I've used Seidio batteries in the past, and I had good luck with them. That eBay one will be fine, as it will last much longer than stock. I just couldn't bare to look at that battery cover, lol...

You'd need to know the dimensions of the knock-off 3200. If the dimensions of the knock-off are the same, or smaller than the seidio, you could always say your battery cover was damaged, and you need a new one.

Since the evo and hero look to take the same battery, I plan on contacting seidio, and buying one of their battery covers for the evo, as I'll just transfer the extended battery from my hero to my evo. I'm sure they'll do something, if I say I lost the cover, or it got damaged...I hope.

Re: Extended Battery

The FCC filing indicated the battery model was RHOD-400 (tp2, anyone), or something like that. Plus, the pics I've seen of the battery, look identical to the hero/tp2 battery. Maybe they aren't the same, and they just look very similar, but I will find out June 4th....

I sure hope so, that'd be sweet. My friend has an HD2 though and the battery is thinner than ours I think. I'll have to inspect his more closely. (I assumed they'd share the same battery)
