Re: Anyone interested in a Kitchen?

Was kind of interested in knowing what would need to be done to an existing kitchen, i have one that i've modified the shit out of for the TP2 and would love to just move it over to the HD2, but if it's a dumb idea i'll just start over.

I keep the following directory off my kitchen....

..\1_work\kitch_mods (with directory structure so I can find them again...)

Then I keep in that all the files I've changed. You can just copy over your existing EXT's for the most part. I've had parts of my kitchen since my Vogue days.

Stupid question...how hard would it be to just modify a kitchen for the TP2 to work with the HD2?
It depends on the kitchen itself. I had a modified prb kitchen that i made with help from raid on the scripting, but it would never work when cooking for the HD2. I am rewriting my script from scratch now and so far its working. I have a feeling its something in raid's script so if you are using his it most likely wont work i would get errors about duplicate oemxipkernels and some weird file without a name.

That's what i was planning, he managed to get it working GREAT for the TP2. That would be great if you two could get that working on the HD2!

So far so good. I have it so you can select the sys so far, ill upload the first test. Havent gotten a chance to flash but no errors when cooking
Next will be replacing htc rom tool with ervius implant xip, works much better. Then the ability to select pagepool before cooking
Anyone want to give it a try?

What would i need to do to be able to turn your kitchen into an HD2 kitchen? If it's way too much just tell me i'm an idiot and to shush, i'm good with that, LOL!

just use the same SYS as for tp2
just change out OEM
take what I have in my OEM and get the same things from the hd2 dumped rom OEM folder.

that SHOULD be all that is needed to BOOT the phone, then just take the EXTs you want. be sure to remove any skip files.
oh yeah, make sure you also get wince.nls from oemxipkernel and put that in OEM as well, along with of course the leo oemxipkernel in ROM"

I know whats needed to make it compatible with another device. I just want to use my own kitchen, its much easier for me to cook when i know exactly what the kitchen is donig. When i set up my old kitchen that was very similar to raids for the hd2 i get errors when running one of the tools. I am rewriting my scripts, the kitchen will be very similar to raids. You select pagepool, sys version, etc.
Its not that the rom doesnt boot, its the fact that the kitchen errors out. And doesnt finish cooking the rom.
So far i have a working kitchen, havent tested the rom but it builds properly. If anyone wants to test please do as i wont be in town to flash my phone for another two days.
Heres the link for my kitchen: http://alexauv.com/hd2/Kitchen/
As i add more and improve it i will continue to upload. Maybe even a nightly kitchen as i change things juts about every day.
